Ghirardelli Square, once headquarters of the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, occupies an entire city block. In 1962, landscape architect Lawrence Halprin converted the square and its historic brick structures to an integrated restaurant and retail complex, the first major adaptive re-use project in the United States, which opened to the public in 1964. In order to preserve Ghirardelli Square for future generations, it was granted National Historic Landmark status in 1982. Today, Ghirardelli Square features more than 40 specialty shops and restaurants in addition to the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop, known for its world famous ice cream sundaes. Let us drive you there in comfort in one of our beautiful limousines as part of your San Francisco limo tour.
Spectacular in its majesty and construction, the famous Bridge spans the Golden Gate, the opening into the San Francisco Bay from the Pacific Ocean. This world-recognized suspension bridge connects the city of San Francisco on the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula and a portion of the south-facing Marin County headlands near the small bayside town of Sausalito. The entire bridge, including the approach, is 1.7 miles long with the tower rising 746 feet above the water. It was built from 1933-1937 and is one of the most enduring and distinctive landmarks of San Francisco. Our tour includes a drive across its entire span to experience first hand the beauty of the structure as well as recognize the often-filmed views of San Francisco Bay and the city’s familiar skyline.
The Twin Peaks – two hills with an elevation of about 920 feet – the second highest in San Francisco after Mount Davidson. Christmas Tree Point, near the summit of the peaks, offers unobstructed views of the city and the San Francisco Bay. The name Twin Peaks also applies to the neighborhood surrounding the hills. A limo ride to the top provides a beautiful view of the city.
As a port city, San Francisco served as a gateway for incoming immigrants who arrived for the California gold rush and construction of the transcontinental railroads in the wild western United States. Chinatown formed in the 1850s and was later re-conceptualized as a tourist attraction in the 1910s. Once a community of predominantly Taiwanese Chinese-speaking inhabitants, it has remained the preeminent Chinese center in the United States. No San Francisco tour would be complete without a stop here. Our drivers will pilot your limo around Chinatown in style.
